Being a true housewife isn’t all diamonds and rosé. Several Bravolebrities have made headlines for their money woes, legal dramas, and court cases over the years.
While some franchises are grappling with on-air lawsuits, including Real housewives from New Jersey ‘s Therese and Joe giudicethe case of fraud and The Real Housewives of New York City‘s Sonja morganfiling for bankruptcy – other shows are trying to keep courtroom proceedings off the air.
Real housewives from Beverly Hills Star Dorit Kemsley, for example, was accused of owing money to her former business partner in 2018. While the Beverly Beach designer was confronted with the situation during the casting trip to the Bahamas, the incident was not aired during season 9 of RHOBH. The moment of tension, however, was captured by onlookers and shared on social media.
Dorit called the viral video “embarrassing” to What’s Going On Live With Andy Cohen in April 2019.
“Obviously it has happened, it’s all over the internet,” she said at the time. âI was grateful that the other ladies didn’t talk about it this season. ⦠I am very comfortable with our position, but unfortunately my hands are tied. You can’t discuss legal issues when they’re unfolding and I respect that. “
After Dorit’s husband, PK Kemsley, made headlines about his own legal issues, Camille Grammer questioned the couple’s finances on the show. Dorit’s Castmate Denise richards called the “inappropriate” discussion for Bravo show in July 2019.
âIt was out of left field. ⦠It shouldn’t have been discussed at a table with all of us, âthe actress explained on theâ Juicy Scoop âpodcast. “And it had nothing to do with what they were all talking about.”
